Happy Easter, Everyone!
It was a different kind of Easter this year. I was so excited and geared up to just talk about the resurrection of Jesus Christ and how much he loves us, but it’s really small here. It’s really different. For one, The day before Easter we went out to 전도 as usual, but the street corner we went to was full of other churches! They had come to call everyone to repentance, and they had a huge sign and a guy was yelling into a mircrophone and people were handing out papers and it was just crazy. There was the Baptists, and the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the Mormons, but after a while it felt too much like the opening scenes in The Restoration video, so we decided to go somewhere else. People kept trying to contend with us. I told them how much I love Jesus Christ and being a missionary, and I asked them if they loved being a missionary, and they just looked at me like I was a crazy person… I don’t know why though.
Our ward didn’t do a whole lot for it. The only thing that really happened that was different is that the primary gave us each an egg. It was okay though. I loved sharing with everyone about our Savior Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ is our Savior, Lord and Redeemer, and he loves us! The reason we celebrate Easter is not for the eggs or the bunnies or the candy (I didn’t even have any of those things this year). We celebrate Easter because that is the day when Jesus Christ broke the bands of death and rose again! Because of him, we have the opportunity to repent and eventually return back to live with our Father in Heaven again. He suffered the pains and sins of the world because he loves us! He truly does live again!
Next week is going to be super exciting. We have Mission tour with Elder Whiting of the Seventy coming, and Sister Linda Burton, the General Relief Society President will be giving a Fireside on Saturday! And next month we will have another Mission Conference where Elder Quinten L. Cook will come! We are so excited for the blessing of hearing from these servants of the Lord! The Lord has truly been so kind to us!
I hope you had a joyous Easter season, and may you always remember the blessings that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have given you! They love you and want you to be happy! May God bless you and keep you always!
And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the atestimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he blives! For we asaw him, even on the bright hand of cGod; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the dOnly Begotten of the Father— That by ahim, and through him, and of him, the bworlds are and were created, and the cinhabitants thereof are begotten dsons and daughters unto God. (D&C 76:22-24)
Love you all!
